Special Issue on Fuel Cells
As electric vehicles and green vehicles lead the trend of automotive research, fuel cell vehicles, with the advantages of zero emission, long endurance mileage and short charging time, stand in a crucial position in the global automotive industry. H2 Council predicts that the number of fuel cell passenger vehicles, trucks and buses worldwide will account for at least 25% of all types of vehicles in 2050. At present, there are many issues to be resolved to achieve the maximum potential of green vehicles, especially the key technologies such as fuel cell system, vehicle integration and hydrogen energy, revolving which researchers and engineers worldwide are working hard.
Automotive Innovation, as an international journal exploring and keeping track of global automotive innovation, is organizing a special issue on fuel cell. This special issue aims to provide a platform for researchers and engineers from academia and industry to present state-of-the-art and original contributions involving experimental and numerical studies, recent developments, and novel and emerging technologies in this field. We are soliciting original high-quality research papers on specific topics that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Topics
1. Non & low-platinum catalysts / other novel catalysts for fuel cells
2. Novel technologies and materials for membranes, MEA, bipolar plates, fuel cell stacks and fuel cell systems
3. Mechanisms of fuel cell power systems, including life cycle analysis and degradation mechanisms
4. Novel technologies regarding hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogen transportation
5. Fuel cell engine system integration and control technologies
6. Energy and thermal management of fuel cell engine system
7. Integration and control system of fuel cell powertrain in vehicles
